InstagramWenqi Zou (b. 1999) is a London-based artist and researcher working across sculpture and moving image. She graduated from the MRes Fine Art & Humanities at the Royal College of Art and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh, where she also teaches courses in moving image and media at the Edinburgh Futures Institute. Her practice brings together classical texts, ethnographic research, and embodied experience, seeking to reimagine the narrative and perceptual structures of illness, memory, and healing. Her research explores how illness participates in the formation of subjectivity, how it interacts with cultural systems, and how it reshapes the relationship between the individual and the world. Her current work draws inspiration from forgotten objects and practices found in witchcraft and folklore, re-situating them within contemporary medical contexts. Through this, she attempts to construct an open, generative space of feminine energy, while reactivating alternative healing practices that have long been marginalised or stigmatised. By weaving together personal experience and speculative collective gestures, she continuously reconfigures these marginal elements, while tracing and repairing the fractured histories of women’s medical narratives.


邹文琪（b.1999）是一位常驻伦敦的艺术家与研究者，其创作涵盖雕塑、影像等多媒介实践。她毕业于英国皇家艺术学院 MRes Fine Art & Humanities 专业，目前为爱丁堡大学博士候选人，并在该校未来学院担任影像与媒体类课程的讲师。她的实践往往结合古典文本、民族志研究与身体经验，试图重新想象疾病、记忆与疗愈的叙事方式及其感知结构。她的人文研究关注疾病如何参与个体身份的形成、如何与文化结构发生互动，以及如何重构个人与世界之间的关系。她当前的艺术创作从巫术与民间传说中被遗忘的物品与方法中汲取灵感，将其重新置入当代医学语境之中，尝试构建一个女性能量的开放性生成空间，并唤起那些长期被污名化的非传统疗愈方式与实践。通过融合个人经验与推测性的共同姿态，她不断重组这些处于边缘地带的元素，同时重新梳理并修复女性医疗叙事的历史脉络。

「MORE...」The film traces the migration, displacement, and wandering of a Southern Chinese family across Southeast Asia, seeking to understand the intergenerational trauma left by these historical movements. The narrative begins with the artist’s own experience of endometriosis and personal trauma, creating a point of departure that connects bodily experience with family history.

It explores how illness emerges, circulates, and unfolds within specific geographical and cultural contexts through artistic practice. Pain is not merely a private experience confined within skin and nerves; rather, it is continually reorganised, projected, and lived through the histories of family migration, the structures of landscape, and the mechanisms of culture.

The film’s visual narrative also moves toward deeper questions: How does illness participate in the formation of personal identity? How does it respond to and interact with existing cultural structures? And how might it, often invisibly, refract deeper narratives of family history and senses of geographical belonging?
